Jubilee Hall, Chagford

This year’s summer concert, entitled King’s & Queen, was a real mixture of classical and vibrant modern music as you can see from the programme below. The summer concert is always a healthy challenge for our singers, drawing us away from modern and classical chorals works and into operetta and popular works. The cream tea was abuzz with conversation and a happy event with requests for repeats of the format. We are wondering what Tim might challenge us with next year!

Josef Rheinberger Abendleid
Thomas Luis de Victoria Ave Maria
Sergei Rachmaninov Bogoroditsye Dyevo
Billy Joel
(arr. Bob Chilcott)
And so it goes
Rogers & Hammerstein
(arr. John Leavitt)
Medley from
‘Oklahoma!’
John David
(arr. Peter Knight)
You Are the New Day
Freddie Mercury
(arr.) Phillip Lawson
Somebody to Love
Crazy Little Thing Called Love
Freddie Mercury
(arr. Mark Brymer)

Your website doesn’t say where your King’s & Queen concert is, nor on what date….!
